Assistant Project Manager - Civil Engineering


The ideal candidate will have a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering (or a similar field) from an ABET-Accredited University and 4+ years of work experience in the field of Civil Engineering. This may include experience in site plan preparation, grading design, utility design, stormwater management design, environmental design, traffic control design, well and septic design or other related fields in the area of Civil Engineering. The ideal candidate will have experience in site permitting and permit package preparation, construction coordination and as-built plan preparation. This person should have experience in coordination with Clients, jurisdictional staff and other consultants. This person should be experienced in the use of AutoCAD, TR-55, TR-20, FlowMaster and other relevant engineering design programs.

In addition, the ideal candidate shall be self-motivated, practical and problem-solving. He/she should be willing to learn new skills and prepare documents in varying jurisdictions in State of Maryland and beyond. The ideal candidate shall be a team-focused individual who effectively works both individually and in a group setting. The individual shall possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and shall be willing and able to utilize technology to complete varying tasks. The position is likely to require a moderate amount of field work in varying weather and site conditions. The candidate shall possess a valid Driver’s License and an excellent driving record. The candidate shall have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam in Maryland or another state. A Professional Engineering license is preferred, but not required, for the position.

The candidate shall have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam. Candidates that do not have design experience or relevant construction experience shall not be considered. This position is not a construction management position.
